Independently lead new SPD development project to ensure on time, on cost and on quality product launch as project manager and NPD Engineer

Drive product design from conceptual stage to design frozen, process frozen, product validation and mass production

Work out accurate product cost by analyzing BOM, process and tooling with inputs from manufacturing engineer, process engineer and quality engineer to ensure enough product profitability

Conduct technical and cost feasibility for new business opportunities

Design overvoltage protection SPD modules as per customer requirements

Conduct mechanical design by using 2D&3D software and injection molding technology
-
Review customer’s circuit protection design and provide manufacturable & cost-effective solution

Use tools such as FMEA and Risk Analysis as a proactive method to help identify and counter weak points in the product design

Track new product trial run and work out process flow

Summarize Lessons Learned documents after project completion

Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (prefer)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical design, prefer have experience on Surge Protection Device (SPD) development and varistor development

3D/2D software skills, such as Solid Edge/ProE/SolidWorks; Inventor is a plus
-
Be familiar with injection molding housing design and GD&T
-
Rich field application knowledge on electronic components, like Varistor, GDT, Inductor, Sidactor and TCO etc.

Able to independently lead new projects with proven management experience

Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to act as a project leader to drive cross-functional teams to ensure new product launch timely

Good English in both oral and written.
