Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for fulfilling the Product Engineer (PE) responsibilities defined in the product development process.
2. Lead prototype/sample build activities; coordinate resources and drive execution according to the plan, handle abnormalities in a timely manner, and ensure on-time delivery and quality of samples.
3. Develop, maintain, and control the product process flow; with support from process engineers/technicians, manage process requirements and related technical documentation.
4. Work with the PM to drive New Product Introduction (NPI); collect project data, track plan execution, and quantify/monitor key target metrics and drive continuous improvement.
5. Collaborate with the PM to respond to customer needs; participate in and drive analysis and resolution of RMA issues.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree or above in a STEM-related field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Optics, or related disciplines.
2. Solid foundational knowledge of optics, physics, and electronic technology.
3. Familiar with the operation of commonly used test equipment in the optical communications industry.
4. Familiar with the functions and basic working principles of passive optical components.
5. Experience in New Product Development (NPD) projects with basic project management capability.
6. Good written English skills with basic spoken communication ability.
