KITE Search are partnering with a leading listed property developer. As a brand they are known for producing some of the most impressive buildings in Hong Kong & China, with an enviable track record. Due to recent successful land acquisition the group is going to further expand their project team for upcoming projects in Southen China. As such they are looking to appoint an Executive Lead (Construction Management) to oversee a major flagship project
Job Responsibilities:
- You will Manage & Control the project scope, schedule and cost; formulating appropriate procurement and contract
strategies for the sourcing, selection and appointment of consultants, contractors and suppliers for the
development initiatives in the GBA. -
Apply insights about design and construction practices in Mainland China, while ensuring successful project completion and outcome.
- Manage the construction of new projects to ensure delivery and completion in accordance with agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality and sustainability
- Ensure contractor performance, productivity, safe practices and quality throughout the projects
- Assess viability of construction methods, sequences, schedules and contractor resources; developing better alternatives where possible.
- Keep track of the latest regulations to ensure statutory compliance for all government submissions of the projects.
- Liaise with all relevant government departments to ensure timely securing of necessary statutory approvals throughout the course of the project
- Liaise with all relevant internal stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication of project progress, impacts on existing operations
- Have a good working realtionship with all sections of the Project Department resolving design and engineering issues that may affect the master plan
Requirements:
- Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering discipline
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- 25+ years of experience in the construction industry in Hong Kong and China
- Professionally chartered in a property-related discipline, e.g. ICE, HKIE, RIBA, HKIA, RICS, PMP
- Demonstrated experience in managing cross-discipline teams.
- Excellent leadership capabilities, with demonstrated experience in large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction projects involving quality buildings and civil works
- Demonstrated experience in full cycle project delivery of large-scale development projects
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build a team and lead from the front
