This position reports to:

Operations/Supply Planner

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Translates projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
Establishes key performance indicators of master plan accuracy.
Ensures the interaction with a firm’s functional managers, and tracks and maintains the forecast through timely and accurate feedback.
Assembles master schedule report that encompasses performance against the business plan, shipment plan, inventory plan, and production plan.
Identifies current planned level of demand and creates tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand.
Calculates production lead times.
Manages load leveling and bottleneck scheduling and utilizes the Theory Of Constraints (TOC) for more accurate scheduling.
Analyzes production floor status through input/output control reporting.
Maintains planning parameters in ERP and planning systems.
Works with customer service to provide appropriate delivery dates, and with Material Planners to convert the supply plan into a master production.
Schedules supply based on the product mix and provides accurate commitment dates to the customer service team across multiple product lines.
Provides input to the Finance team on operating plans for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, concerning incoming volume and capacity.
Manages Materials Resource Planning (MRP) exception messages on a daily basis.
Works with local execution, local Planning & Fulfillment (P&F) Manager, and regional execution organization P&F Manager to resolve issues.
Provides input into S&OP and short-term planning processes.
Identifies issues that cannot be resolved locally.
Provides feedback regarding the feasibility of the plan.
Engages in capacity management during S&OP, master scheduling, materials requirements planning, and production activity control.
