Your role
- Act as regional leadership and subject matter expert for technical, safety and production aspects of spray drying and powder blending equipment.
- Align with the group strategy & standards in collaboration with local multidisciplinary team (project managers, plant manager, R&D and Quality)
- Prepare and plan for future expansion projects ensuring the management of work up to the final production of the equipment
- Monitor the compliance of installations and trains users (operators)
- Ensure a smooth new-project start-up, ramp-up and product qualification on drying tower
- Propose technical solutions, process optimizations, and standard preventative maintenance on related equipment
- Qualification of cleaning process and ingredients of drying media.
- Support R&D in qualification of industrial tests, defining process parameters
- Lead the improvement efficiency action plan to optimize the dryers, accounting for safety and quality prerequisites
- Work with others departments (Production, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, R&D, etc.) to define and implement those changes
- Define and simulate process flow diagrams, write basic functional analyses
- Dimension the equipment and instruments needed for installation, define their specifications and key parameters, evaluating performance
- Develop measurement techniques to create schemes to improve profitability and productivity, proposing appropriate adjustment actions
- Ensure the deployment of the continuous improvement policy
- Train production team and closely support them in the implementation of operational methods and tools
- Document and write operating manuals, SOPs, work instructions
- Provide close support to local R&D in the process of product qualification on the drying tower
About you
- Agri-Food Engineer, Food Process Engineer or Industrial Process Engineering specialization.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience on food (not chemical) powder drying technology.
- Fluid in English and Chinese compulsory
- Strong leadership in the conduct of technically demanding, multi-faceted projects in an international and matrix environment.
- Ability to build intra-team relationships and collaborate in a global environment at all levels of the organization
- Used to work in a fast growing business scenario, and at ease in leading change
- Your skills and technical sensitivity allow you to be a true field engineer. You also know how to work in a multicultural environment in a context of technical projects requiring autonomy, strength of proposal, sense of responsibility and team spirit.
