Responsibilities:
The Role
We are looking for a senior technical leader to architect and deliver an internal NoC configuration, generation, analysis, and visualization toolchain for AMD Control Fabric IP. The role focuses on building a production-quality, configuration-driven tool flow that enables deployment owners to configure, generate, validate, and analyze NoC IP efficiently and correctly.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture and development of an internal NoC tooling platform.

Define scalable configuration schemas, data models, and tool APIs.

Build topology elaboration, validation, and design rule checking flows.

Develop RTL and collateral generators for NoC IP.

Support performance modeling and design-space exploration.

Provide CLI, API, and optional GUI/visualization interfaces.

Integrate the toolchain with CI/regression and SoC design flows.

Work closely with NoC, RTL, DV, and SoC integration teams.

Establish software quality practices: testing, release, documentation, and backward compatibility.

Mentor engineers and drive technical roadmap execution.
Must-Have Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in EDA, hardware automation, software infrastructure, or SoC/IP flows.

Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.

Experience building production-quality tools, generators, or automation frameworks.

Solid understanding of RTL, simulation, verification, synthesis, and integration flows.

Familiarity with NoC or interconnect concepts: topology, routing, QoS, bandwidth, latency, flow control.

Experience working across multiple teams and driving technical execution.

Strong English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with commercial NoC tools such as Arteris FlexNoC/NocStudio.

Experience with SystemC or performance modeling.

Experience with Qt or other visualization frameworks.

Experience with DSLs, compilers, generators, or configuration-driven toolchains.

Familiarity with AXI/ACE/CHI, CXL, UCIe, or chiplet interconnects.

Experience with release management, regression infrastructure, and user support.
