SUMMARY: Translate internal and/or external customers’ quality expectations into factors that can be measured and integrate quality initiatives into projects throughout the life cycle of the product. Assure the Quality of processes and products by consistently promoting continuous improvement in all areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Voice of Customer:
- > Function as the voice of the customer regarding quality issues and to represent Laird to the customer.
- > Develop working relationships with assigned customers and team members.
- > Manage customer portal and customer CSR for parts quality requirement if exist; eg, DPPM, complaint quantity…
- > Supervise failure analysis of components returned by the customer as required
- > Customer reports feedback and follow up on time, eg, 8D report, 5HWY analysis, Fish bone analysis request…
- Continuous Improvement:
- >Facilitate and participate in the Continuous Improvement efforts utilizing Quality Tools.
- >Facilitate and participate in the Corrective Action process (8D), the MRB (Material Review Board) process, the First Article process, Part Certification process, and the Business System Auditing process.
- > Develop, revise, and maintain Quality documentation as necessary. Eg, control plan , checking instruction…
- Process and Products Quality Control:
- > Monitor partners and suppliers regarding effective and on time failure analysis; support SQE to review these 8D-reports.
- > Assist Departments with Quality System and Product Quality related issues and coordinate the Quality effort.
- > Create quality related reports for internal and external distribution.
- Audit:
- >Perform process audit and product audit and participate and support in customer audits, supplier audits, system audit
- >Work with manufacturing partners and suppliers regarding their specific requirements.
- Advance quality:
- >Assist in Advanced Quality Planning for New Products as required by Project Management
- >Coordinate the PPAP process (including developing, reviewing and approving FMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, etc… as appropriate) ; Collect all PPAP documents and work with all parties involved (e.g.,PM, engineering, Lab,suppliers/manufacturing partners, operations…) to ensure customer and LT requirements are met. Until to get customer PSW approval
- Others:
- Oversee and direct the activities of Quality Inspectors as assigned to achieve quality objectives.
- Provide training on quality related topics to others in the organization.
- Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
- Other topics request by plant or department
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge and experience with IATF16949 or ISO13485: 2015.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to read interprets and analyzes blueprints.
- Flowcharting ability and procedure analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical process control.
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Data analysis skills coupled with above average report writing, chart development abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows based Applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
- Knowledge of the APQP, PPAP, Flow Chart, SC/CC list, FMEA, Control plan, MSA, SPC,
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5 years relevant experience, including internships/co-ops
- Experience with Automotive PPAP submissions, high volume production, Certifications are a plus.
