- Develop design project goals & objectives, analyses feasibility of new products in line with marketing strategy and technical criteria.
- Benchmark competitors’ products and technology advancements.
- Understand design procedure, new technologies and engineering techniques.
- Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budget time and cost constraints. Keep all related project documentation well controlled.
- Designs the plans of various components in order for technical support, application support, production line support.
- Responsibility for appropriate prototype testing and evaluating of products, parts, equipment, tools and systems, along with necessary corrective follow-up.
- Develop, maintains, supports design process and focus on concept design, piece part drawings, assembly drawings and Bill of material creation.
- Coordinates & insure successful product qualification test in the lab.
- Redesign existing products to reduce cost, find local sourcing for cost reduction.
- Inform supervisor/manager regularly on work progress, cost, risk, scope redirection needs and stay in collaboration with supervisor. Must be a strong team player.
- B.S. in Engineering or Physical Sciences
- Minimum of 5 years
- Mechanical design, mechanics of materials, Mechanical principle
- Inventor, Solidworks, or ProE
