Principal Engineer HWSW for Medium Voltage Motor Drives (fmdiv)
Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

Assume a role of Product Definition and Product Application Engineers with a strong focus on Motor drives and BMS systems

Develop and support motor drives applications with focus on MOSFETs (48VDC-400VDC) for various industries, such as robotics, drones, power tools and other applications primarily in GC but also in AP region
-
Drive and support the Product Line (PL) strategy, enabling growth and securing design wins in the Drives and BMS segment

Act as the key interface in the region and communicate with headquarters , ensuring clear communication of objectives, priorities, and responsibilities

Lead junior engineers in the region and foster collaboration and alignment across different locations
-
Represent the team and product line in industry conferences, customer engagements, and technical forums
-
Execute the PL strategy with a strong focus on expanding presence and capability in the Asia region

Serve as a direct technical and strategic interface with key customers, supporting critical engagements and business development activities

Define and drive a global lab support strategy, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge exchange across regions

Drive technical Go-to-Market activities, including bench measurements, creating digital content, publishing papers and documents, perform system simulations to secure design-win.

Provide 2nd level technical support to field application engineers and customers on application level with system simulations, and hardware builds
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field (M.Sc. or PhD preferred)-
8+ years of experience in power electronics, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior technical role and solid expertise in Motor drives and BMS topologies, power MOSFETs, and system-level power design

Experience in product definition, application engineering, or system architecture within the semiconductor industry

Hands-on experience in customer-facing roles, ensuring business win.

Exposure to cross-regional collaboration and global project execution.

Ability to lead cross-regional teams and work effectively across cultures, including exposure to Asia markets

In depth understanding of medium voltage MOSFETs (80-400V)

Willingness to travel
