Job Summary
Objective / Project Overview:
- The vendor team should support the Apple HWTE internal team on the design and
deployment of systems carrying out calibration and performance validation of Display
and Display Algorithm functions across Apple product lines.
- The vendor team should support the Apple HWTE internal team on developing and
maturing novel camera metrology, as well as improving existing factory metrology
software and algorithms, ensuring seamless handover to factory teams prior to
production builds.
- The vendor team should support the Apple HWTE internal team on designing,
developing, and deploying AI-powered tools that democratize access to complex
algorithm and simulation pipelines, automate multi-step workflows, and capture
expert domain knowledge into durable, reusable systems.
Scope
- Work collaboratively with Apple DRI teams in partnership with Station DRIs, CM
DRIs, and OpsTE to execute tasks throughout project build stages.
- Ensure all tasks and deliverables are completed on time to satisfy dry run, build, and
post-build objectives for each project.
- Assess and communicate delivery risks; propose and execute mitigations proactively.
- Provide weekly reporting and handle initial escalations to Apple functional teams.
- Develop and improve processes and practices in collaboration with Apple
counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrating novel metrology solutions to advance early lab validation and improve
existing factory metrology processes.
- Developing state-of-the-art, highly reproducible metrology software and algorithms
that meet strict station requirements for optical, camera, and display modules.
- Driving end-to-end early engagement validation by developing, debugging, and
deploying test stations, alongside algorithm deployment and comprehensive data
analysis.
- Processing and analyzing large volumes of test and validation data using tools like
Python or MATLAB to enable data-driven decision making.
- Collaborating within a diverse, multidisciplinary team to communicate design
strategies and implement generic, scalable solutions across multiple programs.
Skill Requirements
- Strong application programming and debugging skills in C/C++, Python, and/or Lua.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying software within multidisciplinary
environments, robotics, or equivalent fields.
- Proficiency in processing and analyzing test data
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly
present test strategies and data to cross-functional teams.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience, including at least 1 year specifically in the image
sensing, display, or optical metrology industry.
- Experience with camera architecture, display technology, optical inspection, machine
vision, or image registration.
- Hands-on experience with OpenCV and implementing image processing algorithms.
- Development Tools: Experience utilizing source control systems such as Git or SVN.
