Job Description

Technical Leadership: Guide the engineering team towards technical excellence by establishing best practices in architecture, problem-solving methodologies, and design principles for eCompressor systems.
Coaching and Mentorship: Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the engineering team.
Standards Definition: Define and implement technical standards, including modular design principles (Baukasten) and documentation practices to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
Tool and Technology Selection: Evaluate, select, and implement tools and technologies that enhance the design, development, and testing of eCompressor systems, ensuring alignment with industry trends and organizational goals.
Design and Development: Lead the design and development of eCompressor systems
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to integrate eCompressor solutions into existing and new products.
Industry Awareness: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to compressor systems and electric drives.
Technical Documentation: Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and management.
Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers and partners to source components and materials that meet project specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in automotive industry and 3+ years in eCompressor development
Proven experience in the design and development of eCompressor or related systems.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and control systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead the team in terms of PS.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken & written)
