This position reports to:

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

The work model for the role is: {onsite}

You will be mainly accountable for:

Market Analysis. Collect and analyze information on mining projects and demand from Chinese-funded overseas EPC companies, including project locations, resource types, electrical system requirements, and other relevant data. Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer procurement preferences for electrical solutions in the mining industry. Regularly provide feedback to the product line and R&D team on market opportunities, solution gaps, and future development directions, thereby supporting product innovation. Track and analyze the mining solutions and business strategies of key competitors.
Marketing (including Marketing Communication). Clearly communicate the value proposition and competitive advantages of ABB’s mining solutions to EPC customers. Based on specific project requirements, develop targeted mine system solutions and technical plans. Coordinate the internal product line, engineering, and project management teams to ensure the feasibility and profitability of the solution. Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare marketing materials for mining solutions, case studies, technical presentation scripts, and more. Organize or participate in industry trade shows and technical seminars to enhance the brand awareness of ABB’s mining solutions.
Pre-Sales & Customer Relationship Management. Proactively identify and map key decision-makers and procurement officers at Chinese-funded overseas EPC companies (such as NERIN ENFI, MCC, CREC, NFC， Northern International, CHEC, Chinalco, CCMC-3, and CCMC-5). Establish and maintain long-term strategic relationships with the EPC customer’s Engineering Department, Procurement Department, and Project Department. Conduct an in-depth analysis of customer needs and coordinate ABB’s internal resources to develop a comprehensive mine system solution. Lead or participate in solution reviews and technical risk assessments for large-scale mining projects. Participate in customer site visits and technical exchanges to validate the suitability of the solution.
Sales (including quotations & order processing). Lead the entire process of bidding, quoting, and business negotiations for mining system solutions. Develop and track project opportunities within the sales pipeline, ensuring the competitiveness of proposals and the conversion rate. Conduct technical clarifications and requirement confirmations with the customer’s engineering team to drive precision and professionalism in the solution. Maintain customer and project information in the CRM system, and regularly report on sales progress and business risks. Develop and implement a personal sales plan to ensure that annual order volume and revenue targets are met. Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and profitability requirements of the quotation.
After Sales (including Service & Support), Work closely with the project delivery and engineering implementation teams to ensure customer satisfaction and high-quality project delivery. Track contract execution, logistics, technical support, and other related processes, and promptly address customer issues. Conduct project summaries and win/loss analysis, and output lessons learned and improvement recommendations. Identify upselling and after-sales service opportunities to support the maintenance of long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Mining, Mineral Processing ，or a related engineering discipline.
Good English skills (reading and writing ability), capable of handling technical and business English documents.
3+ years of experience in sales within the mining industry, EPC project sales, or industrial systems sales. Experience with Chinese-funded overseas EPC companies (such as NERIN ENFI, MCC, CREC, NFC， Northern International, CHEC, Chinalco, CCMC-3, and CCMC-5) is preferred.
Familiar with mining industry process flows, mining technologies, and electrical system requirements.
Priority will be given to candidates with sales or engineering experience in overseas mining projects.
Prior experience in large-scale system solution sales or project-based sales is preferred. Professional
Possesses a strong technical understanding of electrical system solutions for mining operations and is able to engage in professional technical discussions with customer engineers.
Excellent customer relationship development and key account management skills, with strategic sales thinking.
Outstanding business negotiation, technical proposal presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
Proficient in using Office productivity software and Salesforce tools.
Possesses cross-cultural communication and international collaboration skills, and is able to adapt to frequent business trips (both domestically and internationally).
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of teamwork and responsibility.
