The key responsibility of this role is to navigate central Payer’s policy trend and provide insight for access strategy developing, to develop government affairs strategy and conduct related projects via close collaboration with local market access team, market access strategy, tendering team and cross-functional team. The individual will collaborate closely with local Business leaders and will implement and execute and country specific Market Access & Government Affairs programs in alignment with the Business Units imperatives to secure patients' access to Edwards Lifesciences products at optimal conditions and will ensure early input into the access strategy.
How you’ll make an impact:
1. Navigate the policy of central payer’s policy and anticipate the trend then provide independent insight to lead and support access strategy developing. Build good connection with central ministries to expand EW’s impact.
- Proactively monitor and navigate key payer’s policy then to navigate internal team to develop market access strategy, pricing strategy, evidence strategy and tendering strategy to address key access hurdles for existing and future pipeline.
- Collect and analyze price management policy, VBP policy, device coding, DRG/DIP and related key policy regularly and deliver insight with all internal key partners timely.
- Engage and build relations with key central government ministries and other key stakeholder such as association, academic institutions to expand EW’s positioning & impact in China.
2. Develop and execute central government affairs’ strategy for Edwards Lifesciences China.
- Develop appropriate strategy to engage with central payers and conduct related projects timely.
- Closely collaborate within PA team and commercial team (if necessary) to initiate projects/activities to deliver EW’s positioning and shape the policy environment.
- Establish, maintain and strengthen a network of contacts with central access stakeholders including payers, HTA bodies and procurement agencies.
- Provide consultation for PA team members regarding payer’s policy and national wide industry policy.
- Actively involve in the activities initiated by key association such as AmCham, AdvaMed, etc. to shape the value-base policy environment.
3. Response for local market access work in Beijing and Tianjin and other assigned works.
4. Work with JAPAC/global Public Affairs team, as well as cross-functional business partners on the special strategic partnerships/projects.
What you'll need (Required) :
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in in healthcare-related fields, at least 10 years of experience of market access, health economics and reimbursement, government relation, government affairs or relevant fields
