Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Deloitte Global Delivery Center (GDC) team, responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and operational support for Korea. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in Korean payroll practices and statutory compliance with strong analytical and communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration.

This role requires fluency in both Korean and English as working languages with daily communication conducted in English with offshore team members.

Key Responsibilities

Execute end-to-end payroll processing for Korea, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local statutory and client's policies.
Prepare and submit all statutory reports, tax filings, social insurance contributions (NPS, Health Insurance, Employment Insurance, Workers’ Compensation) and year-end tax settlements (yeonmaljeong) in accordance with Korean regulations
Monitor and interpret changes in Korean labor laws, tax regulations and statutory requirements; assess impact on payroll processes and recommend necessary adjustments.
Perform monthly payroll audits, reconciliations and data validations to ensure data integrity and the highest quality standards; Generate management reports, dashboards, and statistical analyses as required by business or compliance needs.
Coordinate with local Korean vendors to support annual tax reconciliation process, provide timely responses to employees’ questions and ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
Proactively identify, analyze and resolve daily operational issues by diagnosing root causes and implementing sustainable corrective actions or process improvements.
Collaborate effectively with HR, Finance and IT teams across geographies
Having project experience to implement new system is an added advantage

准备并提交所有法定报表、税务申报、社会保险缴纳（国民年金、医疗保险、就业保险、工伤保险）以及年度个税清算（yeonmaljeong），确保符合韩国相关法规。
持续关注并解读韩国劳动法、税法及相关政策的变动，评估其对薪酬流程的影响，并提出相应的调整建议。
按月执行薪酬审计、对账及数据验证，确保数据完整性与最高质量标准；根据业务或合规需求，生成管理报表、仪表板及统计分析。
与韩国本地vendor沟通并共同合作实施年度汇算清缴，及时解答员工问题，确保业务在规定时间内完成。
主动识别、分析并解决日常运营问题，通过根因分析制定可持续的纠正措施或流程优化方案。
与分布于不同地区的HR、财务及IT团队高效协作，推动跨职能协同。
具备参与新系统实施项目的经验者优先（如HR系统上线、升级或自动化项目）。

We are looking for someone with

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or above in Korea language, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting are preferred, or a related discipline
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Korean payroll operations, preferably within multinational corporations.
In-depth understanding of Korean payroll principles and full cycle payroll administration
Strong knowledge of Korean labor law, statutory benefits, tax regulations and compliance requirements
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook; experience with payroll systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP) is highly desirable
Fluency in Korean and English (written and spoken) as working languages:
- Korean (TOPIK Level 6 is preferred).
- English (CET-6 or equivalent proficiency is preferred)
Proven ability to work independently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global, multicultural team setting.
Basic accounting knowledge is preferred.

至少3年韩国薪酬实操经验，有跨国企业或共享服务中心工作经验者优先。
深入理解韩国薪酬及全流程薪酬管理。
熟悉韩国劳动法、法定福利、税务规定及相关合规要求。
熟练掌握MS Office办公软件，尤其精通Excel和Outlook；具备薪酬系统使用经验者优先（如Workday、SAP、ADP等）。
具备流利的韩语和英语听说读写能力，可作为日常工作语言：
- 韩语：TOPIK 6级优先
- 英语：CET-6或同等水平优先
能够在高工作量、强时效性的环境中独立高效工作，注重细节。
具备良好的人际交往与沟通能力，能在多元文化、全球化团队中有效协作。
具备基础会计知识者优先。
