Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business & Marketing Intern to support the Greater China MarCom Director across end-to-end market intelligence, competitive landscape mapping, and performance analysis. You will gain first-hand exposure to the luxury high jewelry industry, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that shape Boucheron’s local brand strategy, product positioning, and consumer engagement in one of the world’s most critical luxury markets.
Market Analysis Support
- Track and synthesize real-time Greater China luxury jewelry market trends, including consumer behavior shifts, high-net-worth audience preferences, regional retail dynamics, and emerging digital consumption patterns across tier-1 and new tier-1 cities.
- Compile weekly and monthly market intelligence reports to update the MarCom leadership team on industry hot topics, policy updates, and cultural trends that impact brand communication and business performance.
Competitive Landscape Research
- Conduct in-depth benchmarking analysis against core high jewelry peers, as well as extended luxury maisons such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior and Hermès on their jewelry and watch divisions.
- Monitor competitors’ new product launches, campaign strategies, pricing adjustments, offline pop-up activations, KOL collaborations, and social media performance.
Product & Sales Performance Analysis
- Support the team in analyzing sales data across key collections, tracking SKU-level performance, sell-through rates, and regional sales distribution.
- Correlate marketing campaign exposure, social media buzz, and in-store foot traffic data to evaluate the impact of brand initiatives on conversion and revenue growth.
- Assist in preparing monthly business review decks that translate raw sales data into clear, strategic recommendations for product prioritization and marketing resource allocation.
Ad Hoc Strategic Support
- Assist the MarCom Director in preparing materials for internal Kering Group reviews, regional brand strategy meetings, and new collection launch planning sessions.
- Support the coordination of market research projects, including consumer interview recruitment, survey design, and qualitative insight coding.
- Undertake other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor to drive the smooth execution of Greater China marketing and business objectives.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Luxury Brand Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong passion for high jewelry, luxury fashion, and the global heritage maison industry
- Excellent analytical skills: proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic data visualization) and PowerPoint, capable of processing large volumes of market and sales data into structured, insight-driven outputs.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to read international luxury industry reports and draft professional bilingual presentation materials.
- Prior internship experience in luxury brand marketing, management consulting, market research, or fashion media is a strong plus.
- Highly detail-oriented, self-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced premium luxury environment, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
