About the role
The Business Development Manager – L&I, Global Portfolio plays a critical role in supporting the growth of premium portfolios by translating strategic priorities into structured commercial plans and ensuring effective execution across channels and markets.
Commercial Planning & Execution
Support the development of annual and mid-term commercial plans for the L&I portfolio
Translate strategic direction into detailed execution plans across regions and channels
Track performance against targets (volume, value, depletion) and identify improvement opportunities
Consolidate market insights and provide inputs into planning cycles
Channel & Route-to-Market Support
Support implementation of Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies across priority channels
Work with Sales teams to ensure effective execution in key accounts and distributors
Monitor channel performance and flag risks or opportunities
Assist in onboarding and managing key partners where needed
Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as a key coordinator across Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, and Supply teams
Ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables for L&I-related initiatives
Support project planning and execution of cross-functional commercial initiatives
Help translate consumer and brand strategies into practical activation plans
Performance Tracking & Insights
Track KPIs related to portfolio performance, channel execution, and campaign effectiveness
Develop regular performance reports with clear insights and recommendations
Support business reviews with data analysis and presentation materials
Identify trends and provide actionable insights to improve execution quality
Project & Initiative Management
Support and lead selected commercial projects or pilot initiatives (e.g. new channel formats, CRM programs)
Ensure clear project timelines, milestones, and accountability
Work with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and post-implementation evaluation
Capture learnings and best practices for scaling
Capability & Process Improvement
Identify gaps in tools, processes, or capabilities related to premium portfolio execution
Support the development of frameworks, templates, and best practices
Contribute to continuous improvement of ways of working across teams
About You
- 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Commercial Excellence, Sales Planning, Category Management, Trade Marketing, or related commercial functions.
- Experience working within FMCG, Wine & Spirits, Consumer Goods, Luxury, or multinational organizations.
- Demonstrated experience supporting commercial planning, performance management, and cross-functional business initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Route-to-Market (RTM) models, distributor management, and channel development.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving commercial execution across diverse stakeholder groups.
Exposure to CRM programs, customer development initiatives, and business transformation projects.
