Global Solution Design Senior Specialist

2. Job Purpose
Primary purpose of the role – briefly describe in one or two sentences why the job exists:
Pricing & Solutions’ mission is to manage tender opportunities, promptly provide spot quotations and versatile logistics solutions for customers under the FVL RORO and CIC export scope. Work globally across the organization and closely support with Business Development organization to grow FVL business, optimize and improve solutions to continuously promote FVL products & provide high quality services to customers.
3. Key Accountabilities
Main areas of focus and accountability of the role – detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:

Pricing and Solution Designing
Analyse RFQ&RFI from OEM, fully involved in bidding process, design customs, warehouse/compound and multi-model end-to-end transportation technical solution.
Provide pricing guidance (project cost analysis based on different operation modelling, profitability simulation) and market intelligence to our internal stakeholders.
Set quotation priorities, and makes sure that all quotation deadlines are met, turnaround/response time due customer requirements.
Scrutinize and analyse price computation. Make sure quotations are accurate, complete and all technical specifications in the quotation is in accordance to customer’s requirement.
Work collaboratively with the business teams (BD, product, operations, etc.) on the strategic and competitive customer response, specifically close corporation with similar functions in other regions.

Tender Management
Maximum efficiency and operational excellence, optimize ad-hoc pricing processes and price guidelines.
Manage customer opportunities with the usage of FVL tools and product experts.
Timely coordinate with studies department on supplier resources and capability.
Reports bidding results, analysis and review, responsible for constant improvement and optimization of production and solutions, with the ultimate goal of achieving business goals.

Country Support
Facilitate and support country’s efforts in maintaining healthy relationships with trade bodies, agencies and government authorities.
Support the product head to manage and grow FVL business, in strategic business planning and budgeting.
Responsible for product’s yearly objectives achievement in required level.

Ensure Compliance
Ensure business decisions are made according to existing business controls and that all regulatory requirements are met and followed.
Ensure that set margins are followed and that pricing activities requiring Product and Senior Management approval (regional and/or global) are properly.

Sales & Marketing
Business-win oriented: Closely interact with BD and Marketing team in terms of product promotion.
Customer hospitality: Timely respond to customer requirement. Monthly reporting and return of experience, gap analysis, action plan. Keep good relations with customers.

Education & Qualifications
University degree (Logistics, supply chain management, International Trade, Automotive engineering)
Experience
Minimum 5 years in forwarding industry with pricing and solution design experience and/or engagement
Experience within specific quotations and tender management in Freight forwarding (ocean / ground & rail / FVL)
Experience within a network of an international freight forwarder
Specialist Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of transport, forwarding and logistics (ocean, ground & rail) process
Familiar with domestic & overseas ports/compounds/fleet suppliers
Data analysis and cost control
Excellent MS Office skills (Excel advanced)
Analytical and business process driven
Ability to integrate pricing tactics and drive process improvements
Able to work in a matrix organization and in an international environment
Overtime and occasional business trip are required according to business need, accept working in different time zone in peak seasons
Good relationship with carrier companies and Brokers
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Fluent in English, additional knowledge of other languages are beneficial
