This position aims to build up Elementis' technical capabilities in the automotive coatings area, particularly in automotive OEM coatings. The role provides technical support to facilitate Elementis products entering the automotive coatings market and achieve business growth. Test and evaluate Elementis' resins and additives products in laboratory in automotive coating applications. Assist customers with the use of Elementis products in their systems as well as solving their technical issues with experience as well as the work in the laboratory.
- You will be working with the lab manager and sales team to design, develop, test, and introduce new and innovative coating solutions.

You will support the commercial team by actively generating data to update product portfolio and new business opportunities NBOs through focusing on technical service activities of global key account management (GKAM) and key customers.

You will be responsible for working with the commercial team to implement training for sales/technical sales, key customers and distributors.

You will be responsible for coaching and guiding other Elementis labs across the world for technical expertise in automotive coatings segment.

You will be responsible for working with R&D, manufacturing and procurement to provide evaluation support for pilot scale up, process improvement, non-qualified products, customer complaints and new raw materials.

You will be responsible for coaching and guiding team members to achieve department’s goal.

You will be responsible for supporting the management of projects using Project Management tools (Stage Gate process, timelines, financials, etc.) to plan, track, and communicate activities.

You will be responsible for the safety operation of the Automotive Coatings lab, equipment maintenance and chemical management.
Education: Bachelor degree or above, major in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Polymer Science or related
Experience: 7+ years of formulation development experience in automotive coatings
IT Skills: skilled in Microsoft Office
Language Skills: Reading and written in English
Working arrangements: 40 hours per week. Occasionally overtime working or attending some evening meetings.
Traveling required: 10% of travel required.
