Job Description
AECOM’s Shanghai Architecture team is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in this strategic market sector. The role will focus on building and strengthening client relationships, leading pursuit strategies, and converting high-value opportunities into successful project wins.
What you’ll do

Bring extensive and diversified experience, with a strong understanding of marketing and business development principles and best practices within the industry

Develop and execute effective capture strategies, lead high-value pursuits, and drive the expansion of market share and top-line revenue for AECOM’s Architecture Practice

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key external clients while fostering collaboration across internal business lines, disciplines, and geographies to support profitable growth

Work independently to achieve overall business development objectives, consistently meeting or exceeding annual capture and revenue targets

Identify, develop, and drive new project opportunities, ensuring a sustainable pipeline and long-term business profitability

Leverage prior experience in proposal development, including strategic positioning and pricing, to enhance competitiveness and improve win rates

Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior practice leaders and design teams, effectively influencing decisions, negotiating outcomes, and resolving complex business challenges

能够独立推进商务拓展工作，达成整体业务发展目标，并持续实现或超越年度项目获取及收入指标

主导新项目机会的识别、培育与推进，确保业务管道（pipeline）的持续健康发展及长期盈利能力

运用过往投标经验，参与并支持方案编制工作，包括战略定位与定价策略制定，以提升市场竞争力与项目中标率

与高级业务负责人及设计团队建立紧密合作关系，通过有效影响决策、开展谈判并解决复杂业务问题，推动项目成功落地
Qualifications
Meet the requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Business, or a related field required
-
Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or design consulting industry

Proven track record in business development, including client relationship management, pursuit leadership, and revenue growth delivery

Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-driven, with a hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
-
Strong communication skills, with full professional proficiency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken)
-
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients, partners, and senior leadership
