IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Account Executive to join our Rosetta Stone team to drive both new business growth and customer success across Japan and other developed Asia Pacific markets, including Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
This sales role owns the complete customer lifecycle—from generating new business and closing deals to supporting implementation, driving customer adoption, and achieving retention, renewal, and expansion goals. You will build trusted relationships with customers while partnering closely with internal teams to deliver an exceptional client experience. This position requires you to be in our Beijing, China, office. Remote work from other cities within China may be considered based on local employment and social benefit requirements. This role requires up to 50% travel.
- Drive new business development across Japan and other assigned developed Asia Pacific markets
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution presentations, negotiation, and closing new business
- Develop a strong understanding of customer business objectives and provide consultative, value-based solutions
- Generate a qualified sales pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, and account-based selling
- Manage customer onboarding and coordinate implementation activities with key client stakeholders to ensure successful adoption
- Build long-term customer relationships by providing post-sales support, conducting business reviews, and identifying opportunities for retention, renewal, and account growth
- Consistently achieve new business, renewal, and expansion sales targets.
- Represent Rosetta Stone at education technology, HR, and Learning & Development conferences and industry events throughout Asia Pacific
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to effectively position Rosetta Stone solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Native or business-level Japanese, with professional working proficiency in English
- 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience in EdTech, SaaS, or enterprise software
- Proven success selling software, SaaS, language learning, or corporate training solutions using a consultative or value-based sales approach
- Experience selling to enterprise Education institutions and/or Corporate HR, Learning & Development (L&D), or Talent Management organizations
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business through outbound prospecting, including cold calling and account-based outreach
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong customer management skills with a passion for delivering an outstanding client experience
- Highly accountable, self-motivated, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently
- Strong analytical skills, including reporting, Excel, and data analysis
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), and virtual meeting tools
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across the region
