Business Change Manager – Group Programmes

Location: Shanghai / China

What we’re looking for

We're looking for a Shanghai-based Business Change Manager to support the organisation-wide adoption of strategic change efforts across China. In collaboration with Portfolio Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and business leaders, you will engage stakeholders, carry out change plans and help teams adopt new processes, tools and ways of working that advance our safety, sustainability and digital goals.

Full-time

The role

Work with Project Managers and business leaders to plan and implement change that supports project results and business value.
Support the people side of change for key initiatives, ensuring approaches meet the needs of China-based teams while aligning with global objectives.
Develop and deliver change plans, including communications, stakeholder engagement, change readiness, training and reinforcement.
Engage stakeholders across China and globally, facilitating workshops to understand needs, address resistance and remove barriers to adoption.
Translate project changes into clear business impacts across roles, processes, capabilities and technology, and define practical transition plans.
Design and deliver training and performance support, while coaching leaders and change champions to encourage adoption.
Measure change readiness and adoption using data and feedback, providing clear insights and recommendations to programme leadership.
Ensure change and communication activities comply with Lloyd's Register policies and relevant local requirements.
Evaluate the effectiveness of change activities, capture lessons learned and continuously improve delivery.
Contribute to the change management community by sharing best practices, templates, case studies and practical tools.

What you bring

Deep familiarity with Prosci or a similar change management methodology, along with the judgment to apply it effectively in real-world situations.
Experience building partnerships with senior leaders, managers and frontline teams throughout China and across global markets.
Demonstrated experience guiding change from impact assessment to adoption and reinforcement, including communications, training, readiness and resistance management.
Able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Fluent Mandarin and professional English.
Able to thrive in a complex matrix environment with shifting priorities.
A trust-building approach that emphasises active listening and constructive communication to encourage effective change.
Experience coaching managers and sponsors to guide change, especially in settings where formal change management is still new.
Experienced in using data, insights and feedback to monitor adoption, identify risks and measure success.
Experience delivering change in China or supporting China-based teams, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
Able to translate business impacts into effective training, toolkits and performance support that enable adoption.
