MISSION
In one or two sentences, outline the primary purpose(s) of this position within the organization
Support to the project teams located in NAO and Europe
Support purchasing to find best-in-class suppliers and develop close relationships with them
Ensure quality level of the engineering process, making development rules duly applied by the team
Develop a global offer with partner to address the complete electric drive axle (inverter, motor, range extender generator…) to complete our product line
Responsibilities & Activities
Outline the key areas of responsibility for this position, including the related activities and eventual authorities
Plan and realize the engineering activities to develop and integrate/validate the batteries and electrification systems in the global vehicle system
functional analysis,
specification of the actuators and its validation,
BOM cost optimization for the actuator
design validation, (OP and supplier one)
system validation
process validation (OP and supplier one)
actuator integration validation test definition,
risk management,
life cycle analysis,
write lessons learn.
To ensure OPmobility batteries and electrification systems meet systems requirements
Develop Battery or electrical drive system Technical Specifications for battery and electric drive systems (for both innovation and development)
Ensure full traceability between Opmobility C Power system design and components requirements.
Analyze all testing results CVP & DV/PV (from suppliers and internal testing at component and system level) to check the system performance is at expected level in the system
Ensure that development tools are up to date in his team and control their application
Ensure that system design is compliant with industrial requirements for prototype & Mass production assembly in Plant.
To launch new product lines (BEV & PHEV batteries and electrification systems) in accordance with the innovation roadmap (POC methodology)
Ensure bottom-up innovation by supporting and sponsoring ideas from his team
Promote and report results of the ongoing POCs in accordance with the innovation roadmap
Enhance the level of partnerships within and outside of OP,
With the support of purchasing develop partnerships with key suppliers to maximize synergies
To lead supplier product development performance
Support worldwide Core-Teams with training and explanation about performance, Innovative solutions and key competitive advantages of OPmobility C-Power systems
Clarify OPmobility Intellectual property to his manager
Support RFI/RFQ for any related component or complete battery or electric traction/generator systems needs and associated BOM price optimization
Provide technical support on the steering committee with component or complete battery or electric traction/generator systems key suppliers in order to ensure project is performing well.
Answer questions from internal customers related to component or complete battery or electric traction/generator systems performance issues
Develop partnerships with component or complete battery or electric traction/generator systems key suppliers to maximize synergies
Ensure Battery products lines transfer from innovation to Development with smooth methodology and tools transfer

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Personal Background
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the R&D sector
At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, working on battery sector
Job Technical skills
Know ledge of the battery field, including cell technologies.
Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles, particularly energy storage system controllers. Knowledge of the operation of diesel and gasoline internal combustion vehicles would be a plus.
Expertise in systems engineering, control and software specification, software validation, complex system integration, and calibration
Ability to work in an international team, including proficiency in technical English
Proficiency in the toolchain related to the managed scope (requirements management, multiphysics simulations, FMEA, ticketing, rapid prototyping, calibration management)
Experience with problem-solving techniques
Ability to manage interpersonal relationships and communicate technical issues to clients, especially for the most complex problems
Management of team workload and internal processes to maximize operational efficiency
