KITE Search is currently partnering with one the leading integrated resort owner and developers in Macau. As a global brand they are well known for their premium and luxury developments attracting customers from all over the world. A key component of their business in maintaining their facilities to a high level. We are currently looking for a Director of Training - Facilities Academy to oversee the training program for the next generation of Facilities Engineers & Managers.

This represents an excellent opportunity for a talented leader / trainer to lead and shape one of the most respected Facilities Training Academies in Southern China.

Daily Operations

Act as the role of trainer to deliver trainings in the Facilities Academy of a premium integrated resort, the duties of which includes the design of training contents, acquisition of necessary training materials, equipment and tools, education of trainees attitude on the importance of work safety, ensure trainee technical knowledge and skill assessment in best quality.
Direct and coordinate training programs with various departments and local institutions, including HR, L&A, Facilities, DSAL (labor bureau), CPTTM, etc.
Plan and develop training programs by identifying various training needs of the Operations teams.
Prepare training-related reports and analysis to Facilities Management and Executives, including skills gap analyses, and making recommendations to Facilities Management including the development of trainees based on their potentials and aptitudes.
Communicate with the Department Heads to understand if there are needs to develop new skills for the Team to satisfy the latest corporate strategies and objectives.
Handle internal and external requests for tour visits; attend and/or participate in training-related seminars.
Assist to develop the teaching and counselling abilities of the Training Assistant, for the purpose of future succession and sharing of teaching workloads.
Keep up-to-date with industry-wide standards and regulations related to Facilities or Engineering qualifications and technical requirements, so as to ensure the team members are compliant to legal requirements and industrial standards, as well as maintaining the service quality of the Facilities team members.
Assist in other training-related projects as assigned by the Executives.

People Management and Training

Establishes framework for the effective development of relationships, partnerships and effective communication between senior management, internal customers, stakeholders, vendors and contractors.
Maintains effective HR practices and communication with all team members by promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
Serve as the appointing authority, mediator stakeholder and service provider engagement.
Promote a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated and involved.

Competencies and Requirements

Minimum 20 years of teaching experience in vocational training in engineering fields, with minimum 5 years of management work experience in a training institution and/or department.
Strong training experience and ability in engineering vocational trainings (VTC), including both theoretical and practical.
Proficient in report writing and evaluation of trainee performance.
Proficient in using various international codes and standards such as BS, IEC, IEE, etc.
Knowledge of Macau technical requirements and industry standards on engineering and construction safety.

Education: Higher Diploma or above in Engineering; certificates and/or qualifications of vocational training instructor.

Language Abilities: Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)

Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of CFMS Software.
