Position: Senior Product Application Engineer
Location: Beijing, China
Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior or Staff Product Application Engineer to support China BU OCP products across the full lifecycle, from product definition and application design to customer enablement and production release .
In this role, you will apply strong application‑ and system‑level understanding to bridge IC design, marketing/system teams, and customers, ensuring products are designed, positioned, and adopted successfully in real systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop system‑ and application‑level understanding of products, including customer use cases, performance trade‑offs, and system constraints.
- Translate customer application requirements into product definition inputs, electrical specifications, and usage guidelines.
- Collaborate with IC design, marketing/system, and validation teams during product development and release.
- Analyze silicon characterization and validation data and contribute to datasheet specifications and application recommendations.
- Develop application schematics and reference designs, and review PCB schematic and layout from an application perspective.
- Support customer design‑in activities and resolve application issues through lab evaluation and structured debugging.
- Create application notes, user guides, reference code, and evaluation materials to support customers, FAEs, and sales teams.
- Participate in customer meetings and on‑site support, providing technical input and collecting feedback for future products.
Qualifications
- MSEE or above in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong background in signal‑chain and mixed‑signal systems (e.g. ADC, DAC, amplifiers, TIA, PGA).
- Solid understanding of IC behavior in system‑level applications, including performance trade‑offs and limitations.
- Experience with PCB schematic design and layout, and the ability to review board designs at the application level.
- Programming experience in LabVIEW, Python, and/or C/C++ for lab automation, data analysis, or reference code.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and effective communication across customers and cross‑functional teams.
- Nice to have: Experience with robotics motor control applications , including embedded control of actuators involving motors, sensing feedback, and real‑time interaction between hardware and firmware.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
