Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sr. Technical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage Technical engineer knowledge across chemical manufacturing, chemical vendors, and dosing applications; conduct product and application training for internal teams and external customers. Including on-site commissioning and maintenance guidance.
Act as technical lead for strategic and high-value opportunities, prioritising projects where technical engagement can significantly influence commercial outcomes.
Conduct on-site surveys to uncover opportunities, support Watson Marlow product trials to enhance our success and collect data.
Discuss with customer on application assessments; provide technical support to end user, EPCs, system integrators, and OEM customers.
Identify customer pain points, translate findings into value propositions, and assist in resolving quality complaints and field technical issues.
Develop TCO (total cost of ownership) proposals covering operational risk reduction and lifecycle cost benefits to support customer decision-making and help the sales team win.
Execute benchmarking, competitor comparisons, and validation testing for strategic projects; produce reports to support project approval.
Build application case studies and best-practice materials; drive technical knowledge sharing across APAC sales and technical teams.
Contribute to APAC testing capability development and future regional sector expertise.
Skills/Experience:
Core background in fluid handling, pump systems, or chemical dosing equipment is essential. Exposure to chemical process applications is beneficial but not required.
Comfortable working on customer sites — conducting surveys, running trials, and troubleshooting in the field.
Exposure to chemical manufacturing, dosing systems, or related industrial process applications.
Able to read a process, ask the right questions, and translate customer needs into practical solutions.
Strong written and spoken English, capable of conducting technical discussions, presentations, training sessions, and customer engagements across APAC.
Self-motivated and able to manage work independently across multiple projects.
Quick learner with the ability to develop sector process knowledge on the job and adapt across diverse customer environments.
Typically 8–15 years of relevant experience. Preference for fluid handling and dosing equipment backgrounds — ProMinent, Milton Roy, LEWA, NETZSCH, Seepex, Sulzer, or similar. Candidates from chemical vendors, specialty chemical etc. backgrounds with hands-on dosing or transfer experience are also welcome.
