About the Business

Financial Advisory (FA) practice of Deloitte China provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients throughout all phases of the economic cycle. FA comprises several distinct but related global service lines whose shared principal objective is the creation and enhancement of shareholder and stakeholder value.

Valuation and Modelling guides and advises clients on valuation methodologies and provide valuation advisory services relating to business interests. These include intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock and other securities, partnership interests, employee stock option plans (ESOPs), private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative products relevant to our clients.

Work you'll do

Analyze financial, accounting and tax implications of corporate transactions involving tangible assets and advise clients on complex valuation issues for regulatory and compliance purposes
Analyze financial, accounting and tax implications of real estate transactions and advise clients on complex valuation issues
Leverage modeling expertise and M&A experience to turn financial models into powerful communication tools and help clients make better, more effective decisions
Help clients make confident decisions based on sophisticated analysis of available information to drive deal success
Think longer-term beyond the current deal and build support for a financially beneficial and sustainable solution
Advise client to make decisions that positively impact return on investment; provide subject matter expertise on sector trends and leading practices
Actively manage the Firm’s risk from take-on through to completion of engagements
Apply deep expertise in one stage of the M&A lifecycle and a broad knowledge in others to support complex transactions

We are looking for someone with

To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas:

Bachelor or above degree holder in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or MBA. Other degrees in quantitative finance, actuarial science or financial engineering is an advantage
Professional certification of CICPA, HKICPA, CFA, ASA, CBV or other relevant overseas qualification
Minimum of eight years' relevant work experience, including 5 years of valuation experience related to M&A or financial reporting
Ability to analyze financial, accounting and tax implications of corporate transactions and advise clients on complex valuation issues for regulatory and compliance purposes
Ability to leverage modeling expertise and M&A experience to turn financial models into powerful communication tools and help clients make better, more effective decisions
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modelling
High commitment to quality client service
Excellent sense of business, consultation and communication skills, self-initiation, good team player, and willingness to work under pressure
Maturation, activeness, and commitment
Excellent project management and business development skills
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Good command of oral communication skills in Mandarin Chinese, including both technical and business writing, good documentation and presentation skills
Willingness to travel
