If you are an experienced advanced manufacturing engineering professional with solid mechanical technical background looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting platform for you! Based in Suzhou, China. You will lead new coming OFC manufacturing line develop and implement advanced manufacturing technology to drive the OFC successfully launch in Suzhou plant.
As Sr. AME Engineer of OFC, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the Suzhou OFC Engineering team, Procurement, SQE, and Planning teams to monitor project progress, manage changes, and ensure alignment across functions.
- Conduct feasibility assessments of product design and manufacturing processes in collaboration with the R&D team, ensuring manufacturability and industrialization readiness.
- Drive execution of project plans, schedules, and cross-functional project teams for OFC line development in Suzhou.
- Demonstrate strong learning agility to effectively apply new technologies and manufacturing processes in OFC line development.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with the global AMT team to ensure alignment of technology standards and best practices.
- Work closely with Operations to understand business needs and provide comprehensive solutions, including process optimization, information systems, and material flow systems.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are developed to meet requirements in safety, cycle time, footprint, capacity, quality, operability, and maintainability.
- Lead cross-functional PFMEA activities, track key project milestones including acceptance and handover, and drive timely implementation of risk mitigation actions.
- Ensure full compliance with corporate EHS regulations and requirements to guarantee the safety of equipment, processes, and personnel.
- Provide technical guidance to Operations teams on the assembly and ramp-up of OFC compressors in new production lines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required education, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical/electrical related majors;
- More than 8 years of manufacturing related work experience;
- HVACR manufacturing/technology experience is preferred;
- Fluent English in both written and oral;
- Strong project management skill with solid project management background;
- Strong ability to analyze, summarize, reason and judge problems;
- Strong adaptability and proactive innovation mindset;
- Strong communication and coordination skills, teamwork spirit;
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software and good presentation skills;
