About the role

This role leads both Quality Management (QM) and Quality Control Lab (QC), involves developing and implementing quality assurance and food safety policies, conducting regular inspections to quality and food safety system.
This role leads a team of quality specialists, FST & food safety officer and lab analysts, works closely with production, procurement, commercial and R&D teams to ensure that the products are safe, consistent, and of the highest quality.

Key responsibilities

Ensure daily operations of Quality Management

Lead and manage a team of quality professionals.
Develop and implement quality management and food safety policies and procedures.
Promote a culture of quality and safety within the organization.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, standards.
Collaborate with leadership to align quality objectives with business goals.
Collaborate with production, procurement, commercial and R&D teams to achieve company goals.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of production and management system.
Lead and supervise FST members and Food safety officers to do their jobs in accordance with duties.
Monitor and analyse quality performance and report risk and non-conformities to Operation Director and production.
Lead and investigate root cause analysis of quality issues and customer complaints.
Recommends and oversees content updates to department or company resource manuals, standards manuals, training programs, and operational excellence tools.
Develop and deliver training programs for staff on quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
Develop and manage quality assurance budgets.
Review and approve product specifications and formulations.
Role as “Food Safety director” according to China authority regulatory no. 97.

Make sure the daily operations of QC lab.

Supervise and lead a team of QC lab analysts.
Implement and maintain a quality management system.
Overseeing lab testing and control processes.
Drive and maintain safe, comfortable, and compliant working environment to employees.
Supervising and ensuring QC lab is running and developing according to standards and production requirement.
Developing and implementing quality control procedures.
Supervise laboratory operations including analysis of raw materials, in process materials and finished products to provide the right analytical results with right quality.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality standards and compliance requirements are met.
Maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
Maintain and constantly improve QC process.
Develop and deliver training programs for laboratory staff.
Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Ensure the laboratory is adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
Participate in internal and external audits and inspections.
Stay up to date with industry developments and better practices.
Develop and manage the quality control budget.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the laboratory.

Other activities distributed by senior lines.

Qualifications and skills

Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Food safety or related.
Experience:
Have > 5 years working experience in the enzyme industry quality function.
Experience with HACCP, GMP, and other quality management systems.
Experience with auditing and inspection processes.
Knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.
Have lab working and management experience and method development knowledge.
Have risk assessment and root cause analysis skill.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Good ISO/QMS overview, and food safety management competence.
Ability to analyse and interpret quality control data.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to drive for cross functional project.
Proactively approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Be good at English communication.
