Overview
You’ll join our Shanghai Branch, working in the Operations team within a dynamic, international environment where collaboration is at the core of everything we do.
What you'll be doing
Execute and confirm payments, transfers, and settlements in different currencies
Process letters of credit, guarantees, collections, and documentary credits for trade finance operations
Handle treasury operations support, including confirmation of money market deals, FX transactions, and derivatives
Manage account services for corporate clients ensuring KYC and AML documentation is accurate and up-to-date
Follow the operational procedures and control policies set by the Group and the Branch
Ensure all activities comply with the regulations of Chinese authorities (PBOC, SAFE, CBIRC) and local laws and submit the routine regulatory reports
Assist in internal and external audits
Monitor transactions for suspicious activities and report as per AML/CFT procedures
Perform daily reconciliation of accounts (Nostro, Vostro, internal ledgers)
Identify, document, and escalate operational discrepancies or irregularities
Contribute to the optimization of local operational procedures
Who we are looking for
3-5 years of relevant operational experience in a foreign bank branch in China
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of Chinese banking regulations, foreign exchange controls, and trade finance practices.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in core banking software and MS Office (especially Excel); Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and payment systems.
Language Skills: Mandatory fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
