About The Role
• Serve as the legal entity lead in China, accountable for financial compliance of the entity’s statutory financial statements.
- Act as the primary contact with local government authorities (e.g., tax authorities) to ensure efficient, accurate and sustainable handling of tax and reporting obligations under PRC accounting and tax laws/regulations.
- Build and maintain transparent, trust-based relationships with tax and other government authorities.
- Serve as a proactive business partner, delivering tailored tax and finance advice and helping implement processes that support operations and the company’s long term strategy.
How You Will Do It
• Act as the primary contact for finance and tax service provider and local business functions to ensure efficient communication and fulfilment of internal and external reporting and filing requirements.
- Work together with finance and tax service provider to ensure timely and accurate submission of group reporting packages and local statutory reports.
- Collaborate with external tax service providers to manage local tax compliance, including tax filings, tax accounting and reporting, tax credit rating management and related matters.
- Lead finance related projects, e.g. Tax compliance, employee reimbursement system implementation, etc
- Coordinate and support tax inspections and tax audits, including preparation of documentation, responses and remediation planning.
- Provide tailored finance and tax advice to business and functional units to support projects, transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Deliver finance and tax training and knowledge sharing sessions to internal and (where relevant) external stakeholders to raise compliance and process capability.
- Establish, document and continuously optimize operational processes and controls to drive efficiency, compliance and service excellence aligned with business needs.
What We Look For
• Education: Bachelor degree or above from university, majoring in finance, accounting and taxation related
- Certificate: CPA, CTA is a plus
- Working Experience: Over 5 years’ working experience with at least 3 years’ tax experience in multinational manufacturing company (experience in Big 4 and domestic leading firms is a plus)
- Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of PRC accounting regulations (IFRS and PRC) and tax operation and practice
- Being familiar with ERP system and program (e.g. SAP), IT expertise and programming experience is plus
- Team-oriented and self-motivated, strong customer orientation and drive for innovation
- Strong logical analysis and organization skill, excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Fluent in both verbal and written English
- Proficient MS Office skills for Excel, Word and PowerPoint
