Role Purpose
The Senior Treasury Manager is responsible for the active management of Siemens China’s liquidity, including money market investments, loans and funding activities, alongside execution and advisory of FX transactions.
The role plays a key part in liquidity optimization, funding strategy, and cross-border cash management (PBOC and SAFE structures), ensuring efficient capital deployment within regulatory frameworks.
It also provides forward-looking market insights and proactive currency advisory to operating companies, while driving digital transformation and AI-driven treasury initiatives, with strong governance and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Liquidity, Funding & Capital Management
- Actively manage loan portfolios (internal and external) and coordinate bank financing and facilities.
- Support and execute funding strategies across short-term and long-term horizons.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Stay informed and observant of capital markets developments (rates, credit markets, bond issuance) to support funding decisions.

2. Money Market & Investment Management
- Actively manage money market investments and interbank placements within risk limits.
- Optimize portfolio returns while monitoring liquidity, tenor, and counterparty exposure.
- Develop independent market views to support investment decisions.

3. Cross-Border Cash Management & Structuring
- Manage and optimize cross-border cash pooling structures, including PBOC and SAFE schemes.
- Ensure regulatory compliance while improving cash mobility and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve cross-border liquidity frameworks.

4. FX Management & Advisory
- Execute FX trades (spot, forwards, swaps) for Siemens China’s operating entities.
- Provide proactive advisory to operating entities on currency risk management, hedging strategies and exposures.
- Monitor FX market developments and deliver insights and actionable recommendations.
- Ensure accurate deal booking, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation with high control awareness.

5. Treasury Digitalization, Projects & Transformation
- Drive end-to-end treasury transformation initiatives; including automation, digitalization, and process optimization.
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leverage tools such as PowerBI, Power Automate, Alteryx and other AI-based solutions to enhance workflows, reporting and decision making.
- Coordinate with global teams on system enhancement and transformation programs and to translate business requirements into solutions.
- Identify and implement AI use cases in treasury process.
- Act as a change agent, driving transformation and influencing adoption of new technologies across teams.

6. Risk Management, Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support liquidity forecasting, funding strategy execution and treasury risk monitoring.
- Deliver high-quality reporting on investments, loans, liquidity and FX exposures
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, limits, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of treasury policies, controls and governance frameworks.
- Act as a senior interface to regional/ global treasury teams, finance, business units and external parties.
- Coach, mentor and support junior treasury colleagues, contributing to the overall team capability building.

Required Experience & Capabilities
- 5+ years of experience in corporate treasury, banking, or financial markets.
- Hands on money market trading experience in the interbank market.
- Practical FX trading (spot, forwards, swaps) experience, ideally supporting corporate entities.
- Proven track record managing or contributing to an investment portfolio under defined risk and liquidity frameworks.
- Experience interacting with regulatory authorities such as SAFE, PBOC, and NFRA, including practical experience in managing cross border cash pooling structures.
- Experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) or internationally oriented organization is strongly preferred.
- Experience with treasury systems (Murex, EMS, or equivalent) and electronic trading platforms (CFETS, Bloomberg).
- Experience in financing activities such as bond issuance or capital market transactions is an additional advantage.
- Strong project management capability, with a structured and delivery-focused approach.
- Proven experience and strong interest in participating in or leading digitalization and automation initiatives, ideally within treasury or financial markets environments.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset, with continuous learning, adaptability and strong willingness to navigate different topics.

Language, Interpersonal and IT Skills
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (spoken and written).
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with ability to work across regions and with Head Office.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics and automation tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx or similar)

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, or related fields. Master’s highly preferred.
- CFETS certification
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM or CPA are a plus
