About the role
The Assistant Content Manager is responsible for supporting the development and production of high-quality video and visual content across digital and social platforms.
This role also supports day-to-day content production activities, including video planning, on-site shooting, content coordination, post-production management, and asset delivery. The position plays a key role in translating brand and campaign objectives into engaging content that enhances brand storytelling and consumer engagement.
Video Content Production
- Support the planning, coordination and execution of video content for brand campaigns, product launches, events and always-on social content.
- Lead day-to-day video production activities, including pre-production planning, shooting coordination and content delivery.
- Work closely with agencies, photographers, videographers and creators to deliver high-quality content assets.
- Support content capture at events, activations and brand experiences.
Content Development & Execution
- Assist in translating campaign objectives into engaging content concepts and creative executions.
- Coordinate content production schedules and ensure timely delivery of assets.
- Adapt and localize global content for China market requirements and platform needs.
- Support development of platform-specific content for WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Weibo and emerging social channels.
Creative Coordination
- Prepare creative briefs and production requirements for agency and production partners.
- Review content assets and coordinate revisions to ensure quality and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Support video editing, post-production and content optimization processes.
Asset Management & Governance
- Maintain content libraries and asset management systems.
- Ensure all creative assets comply with brand standards, copyright requirements and approval processes.
- Manage content filing, version control and asset distribution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Brand Marketing, PR, Consumer Experience, E-Commerce and Digital teams to support campaign execution.
- Coordinate with agency and production partners to ensure effective project delivery.
- Support ad-hoc content and campaign initiatives as required.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Film Production, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in video production, content creation, or digital marketing.
- Proven experience managing video shoots, including planning, on-site production, and post-production coordination.
- Strong understanding of social media content and platform requirements across WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Weibo.
- Experience working with agencies, videographers, photographers, creators, and production partners.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing high-quality video content.
Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English.
