POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly capable, trilingual Project Architect to bridge our real estate developments in Saudi Arabia with our material sourcing, fabrication, and design partners in China. This unique role requires a strong architectural background with specific expertise in interior decoration, finishings, and construction material specification. The ideal candidate will seamlessly navigate the supply chain in China and orchestrate flawless execution on construction sites in Saudi Arabia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design & Decoration Management: Review, refine, and adapt architectural layouts and interior decoration designs to ensure they meet both aesthetic goals and local Saudi building regulations.
- Construction Material Sourcing & Vetting: Travel to and communicate with manufacturers across China to evaluate, inspect, and purchase high-end decoration materials, fixtures, and construction elements.
- Cross-Border Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between the Saudi Arabian real estate firm's executive team and contractors/suppliers in China to prevent technical or design miscommunications.
- On-Site Supervision: Conduct periodic on-site inspections in Saudi Arabia to oversee finishing works, ensuring decoration materials are installed according to specifications and strict quality benchmarks.
- Technical Documentation: Translate, review, and verify technical drawing specifications, material submittals, and bills of quantities (BOQs) between Arabic and Chinese contexts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Architectural Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in architectural design, with a heavy emphasis on material procurement, construction finishings, and interior/exterior decoration.
- Language Proficiency (Non-Negotiable): Native or professional bilingual fluency in both MANDARIN CHINESE and ARABIC (written and spoken). Professional working proficiency in English is highly preferred.
- Cross-Cultural Competency: Prior experience working with Chinese state-owned construction firms (SOEs) or Middle Eastern real estate developers is an immense advantage.
- Software: Mastery of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Project.
- Travel Flexibility: High willingness to travel frequently and shift operations between project offices in Saudi Arabia and manufacturing hubs in China.
