ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Excellence (BE) Leadership & Strategy Deployment:

Own and drive Strategy Deployment with Site Leadership Team (SLT) and identify and prioritize key initiatives at the site.

Has ownership of creation of site strategy along with Site Head – document to outline the strategic direction of the site over a ~10-year horizon.

Develop BE strategy and lead initiatives and teams including Operational Excellence, Project and Portfolio (PPM) Management and Learning as aligned with strategic goals.

Coach teams (SLT, functions, manufacturing) on lean methodologies (AOS) and problem-solving elements to drive value creation.
-
Liaise with OpU BE on top-down initiative deployment.
-
Embrace existing and emerging digital technology and data analysis and ensure close alignment with DD&T (Digital, Data, and Technology) and (GMSci) Global Manufacturing Science to maximize leveraging Digital and Automation for process optimization.

Manage response to external productivity assessments (e.g. POBOS) and internal business audits.
Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives:

Oversee and lead OE initiatives to transform the business using the AOS and digital & automation.

Champion continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma as required.

Identify and implement process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency opportunities.,

Partner with site Quality, System and Improvement (QSI) to ensure alignment and maximized GMSGQ collaboration.

Implement and share best practices from both within and outside of their site.

Support and actively participate in Business Process of the Future and Factory of the Future Design Sprints as per established roadmap.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving site overall governance process and tiered accountability system that supports achievement of site objectives.

Oversee and lead cross-functional teams in OE projects.

Deliver on standardized improvement to drive sustainability and build capabilities,

Own the six-sigma program at site, coaching Yellow Belts, certifying Yellow Belt candidates.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams & Stakeholder Management:

Partner with overall site operations teams and functions (including Quality) to plan for effective operational excellence site strategy and implementation based on priorities to drive improvements.

Collaborate with Finance to capture value.

Facilitate team collaboration and share best practices.

Engage with BE communities and Global Functions, participate in Community of Practice and collaboration meetings as required.
Deliver Training requirements & Learning Strategy for site:

Ensure plans are in place to deliver all required training (GxP & Non-GxP) assigned via role-based curricula are met.

Develop and execute the site Learning roadmap to deliver on future ready capabilities.

Effectively partner with assigned OL&CM (Organizational Learning and Change Management) Lead to deliver the required elements of the GMS/GQ Learning Strategy.

Monitor training KPIs monthly and work with SLT on action plans to address gaps.

Lead learning initiatives for Lean and Business Excellence.

Foster the development of internal SMEs in process improvement and OE tools, with special attention on coaching of Operational Excellence Champions.

Be an ambassador and coach for AOS deployment and Organizational Change Management (OCM) e3+ framework across the site.
Compliance & Safety:

Align initiatives and integrate with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Use data driven approach to improve compliance profile and to drive Integrate safety into process improvements.
Performance Metrics & Reporting:

Responsible for tracking Site KPIs, supporting the Site Head in reporting Operational Performance/KPIs at an OpU level.

Identify performance gaps and recommend solutions.

Foster a culture of accountability with metrics and KPIs.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Essential:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations management role, with a strong focus on GxP regulations, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Manufacturing.

Bachelor’s degree in technical field (e.g. engineering, life sciences) or equivalent work-experience

Advanced knowledge of GxP manufacturing, lean management and problem-solving methodologies. Large and mid-site: Yellow Belt and AOS Professional certification or equivalents, small site: Green Belt and AOS Professional certification or equivalents, as described in the effective Global SBE Guidance
