Objectives of the Position
Develop innovative and cost-effective catalyst solutions for gasoline after-treatment
Act as interface to understand and fulfill Japanese automotive OEMs’ technical needs
Main Tasks
Coordinate internally with Shanghai R&D and Japan (Numazu) R&D, to develop the exhaust catalyst technologies for Japanese automotive OEMs’ global and regional projects
Coordinate with regional production sites to deliver the solutions of exhaust aftertreatment system to Japanese OEMs
Collect and understand technical requirements through regular exchange meetings and discussions with the allocated customers
Discuss customer requirements within gasoline RDnA team and work out and select fitting technologies/technical proposals to meet requirements
Run customer specific development programs (e.g. in Engine Lab, reactor testing) when necessary
Make first contributions to the account strategies for allocated OEMs together with account management, marketing and GCQA
Responsible for EHS risk management during design and development activities to ensure corresponding R&D activities are conducted in compliance with local and company EHS requirements
Minimum Education and Qualification
Education: PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering 化学或化学工程专业博士学位. Knowledge about powertrains and environmental catalysts will be a plus.
Working Experience: Preferred study and/or working experience in Japan. Working experience in Automotive exhaust catalyst or Heterogeneous catalyst technical team will be a plus.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
Heterogeneous catalysis design and characterization.
Good communication skills and team spirit.
Fluent in oral and written English.
Fluent in oral and written Japanese.
Results oriented & customer focus.
Good project management skills.
