Engineer Design
Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and ensure on-time delivery of fuel, CVS, battery, SCR, and other mechatronic systems
- Create and modify CAD 3D data; perform vehicle packaging and clearance analysis
- Prepare, review, and update drawings in line with Kautex and customer requirements (incl. GD&T and KIC standards)
- Manage datum systems and align with gauge suppliers, quality, plant, and product development teams
- Apply OEM standards and Kautex design guidelines, components, and engineering practices
- Manage engineering data in PLM systems and customer databases, including data release and transfer compliance
- Participate in design/drawing reviews and conduct simulation activities (FEA/SDL) during development
- Support cost optimization (VAVE), standards improvement, design cost calculations, and mentor new team members
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Strong experience with 3D CAD systems (e.g., CATIA V5, NX) or equivalent engineering background
- Previous experience in a similar engineering role
- Knowledge of plastics, composites (thermoplastics & thermosets), and related manufacturing processes (e.g., compression molding, LFT preferred)
- Solid structural design capability
- International study or work experience is a plus
- Good English communication skills and willingness to travel
- Strong competencies in communication, teamwork, adaptability, prioritization, result orientation, and customer focus
