Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Day to Day Responsibility
Support Regional HR consultant & plant HRM for recruitment assistance (salaried & hourly):
Work with Talent Acquisition & HR Shared Service Team to post job req. creation, interview with candidates, and scheduling interviews if needed.
Communicate interview details and related processes with TA or candidates to ensure a smooth recruitment experience.
Support the preparation and organization of recruitment data and reports if needed.
Employee Relations Management:
Assist the regional HR consultant with employees in Shanghai for overall orientation arrangement, onboarding, termination, position changes and the whole HTR experience.
Update and maintain employee records and HR information systems to ensure accuracy and completeness from regional perspective.
Address daily inquiries from employees and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Support Regional HR Generalist on Training and Development Projects:
Assist in organizing and coordinating internal training sessions, including sending notifications, reserving venues, and managing attendance.
Maintain & updated regular training records, work with plant HRs to update training needs and collect employee feedback;
Help create training materials and related reports.
Reports Dashboard Maintenance:
Support the regional related reports by data driven with insight suggestion properly to stakeholders for their decision maker.
Employee Support:
Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Provide support in resolving employee concerns or escalate issues as needed.
Compliance Support:
Ensure HR processes comply with company policies and legal regulations.
Help update and communicate HR policies as required.
Other:
Other work assigned by regional HR consultant.
Experiences/Education - Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Previous overall HR-related experience is an advantage.
Experiences/Education - Desired
At least 1-3 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist) or equivalent
Master’s degree in related area and/or HR certifications
Successful track record of performance in Plant HR Specialist or Center Of Excellence (COE) role
First line supervision experience
Applied Six Sigma Lean or Kaizen experience
Successful track record in the deployment of global HR business processes or programs
Knowledge of employment laws and policies
Basic proficiency in verbal & written English language skills
Required Skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR practices is a plus.
