Job Summary
Objective / Project Overview:
- The vendor team should support the Apple HWTE internal team on the design and
deployment of systems carrying out calibration and performance validation of Display
and Display Algorithm functions across Apple product lines.
- The vendor team should support the Apple HWTE internal team on developing and
maturing novel camera metrology, as well as improving existing factory metrology
software and algorithms, ensuring seamless handover to factory teams prior to
production builds.
- The vendor team should support the Apple HWTE internal team on designing,
developing, and deploying AI-powered tools that democratize access to complex
algorithm and simulation pipelines, automate multi-step workflows, and capture
expert domain knowledge into durable, reusable systems.
Scope
- Work collaboratively with Apple DRI teams in partnership with Station DRIs, CM
DRIs, and OpsTE to execute tasks throughout project build stages.
- Ensure all tasks and deliverables are completed on time to satisfy dry run, build, and
post-build objectives for each project.
- Assess and communicate delivery risks; propose and execute mitigations proactively.
- Provide weekly reporting and handle initial escalations to Apple functional teams.
- Develop and improve processes and practices in collaboration with Apple
counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
- Modularize and abstract existing algorithm and simulation pipeline codebases to
expose clean parameters and make them AI-accessible
- Build intelligent, LLM-based interfaces that allow engineers to configure and run
complex algorithm related pipelines through natural language
- Build monitoring and triage tools that automatically ingest production data, detect
anomalies or late findings
- Develop AI-assisted tools that convert prototype algorithm code into productionready,
high-performance implementations
- Collaborate with domain experts across display, camera, motion sensor, optical
sensor, and touch testing
- Users: HWTE Display, HWTE Camera, HWTE Sensors, Station DRI, EPM team.
Skill Requirements
- BS in CE / EE / Physics or other engineering/scientific discipline.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ with a solid foundation in software engineering and
system design
- Experience in Git
- Experience building applications powered by large language models (LLMs),
including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, function calling / tool
use, or agentic workflow development
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- 2+ years of related professional experience
Other Requirements
- Hands-on experience with modern AI coding and automation tools (e.g., Claude,
Gemini) and familiarity with emerging concepts such as AI agents, skills, agentic
workflows, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Hands on experience with Prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation,
function calling / tool use, or agentic workflow development.
- Strong project management capability and communication skill.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, highly cross-functional, and fast-paced
environment.
