Job Description

Overall manage piping detailed design execution, formulate discipline work breakdown, design schedule, manpower allocation and quality control standards, ensure on-time delivery of all piping detailed design documents.

Be responsible for topsides process piping, utility piping, fire water, drain & vent, hull piping and special fluid system detailed design routing, layout optimization and scheme confirmation based on PFD, P&ID, plot plan and equipment arrangement drawings.

Lead 3D piping modeling, conduct regular 30%/60%/90% model reviews, organize multi-discipline clash detection, resolve layout interference, ergonomic arrangement, maintenance accessibility and offshore safety passage issues.

Review and approve piping GA drawings, isometric drawings, pipe support drawings, material take-off (MTO), valve list, piping specification and construction technical documents; optimize pipe support design suitable for floating structure dynamic load.

Oversee piping stress analysis arrangement & result review, proficiently judge CAESAR II analysis reports, solve thermal expansion, ship hull deformation, vibration and fatigue problems for FPSO/FPU floating unit piping systems.

Conduct technical clarification, design inquiry response and drawing approval communication with client, owner representative, third-party supervision and classification society (DNV, ABS etc.).

Define discipline interface scope with process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, structure, HSE and construction teams, sort out interface technical requirements and solve on-site design technical problems.

Establish and unify project piping design standards, standardize design workflow, guide junior engineers & designers, conduct internal technical training and work assessment.

Cooperate with procurement department to confirm piping material technical requirements, participate in vendor drawing review and technical bid evaluation; provide technical support for fabrication, pre-commissioning and offshore installation.

Track latest offshore industry codes & standards (NORSOK, ASME B31.3, API etc.), revise design scheme to meet project upgrade and safety standard requirements.
Qualifications

Familiar with offshore oil engineering design standards/specifications, prefer to ASME/ API standards;

Proficient in using model interference inspection software such as E3D and Navisworks, as well as Office software;

Skilled in participating in project meetings and solving technical problems face-to-face in both English and Chinese.
Additional Information
The candidate is required to have 2 or more detail design experience in process piping discipline for offshore oil engineering projects, prefer to the experience in wellhead platforms/ process treatment platforms, including monitor the progress and quality of the detail design, review the detail design documents, technical support for procurement, coordinate and resolve technical issues with Vendors during fabrication, installation and commissioning, etc.
