About the Business

Deloitte China Tax and Business Advisory is the only Big Four practice that works As One across Greater China Region including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan with more than 2,300 experienced tax advisors to offer holistic one-stop-shop services and assist clients, stakeholders and regulators to harvest mutual trust and sustainable growth. It is also a Tier One tax practice in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan (International Tax Review’s World Tax 2021).

Through our global network of dedicated professionals at Deloitte member firms in more than 150, clients have “on-demand” access to an extensive range of hands-on, experienced professionals in all forms of acquisitions, investment and financing structures, disposition alternatives, and post transaction and integration activities. Our local team in China understands the local culture and business environment and combines this with global reach to provide seamless services for those clients that are expanding into the global marketplace, either through foreign acquisitions and mergers or restructuring the global supply chain.

Work you'll do

Develops good understanding of the M&A lifecycle and Deloitte’s policies, processes, tools, resources and solutions to support our clients
Utilizes Mergers & Acquisitions related tax concepts to develop deep understanding of the target and the potential tax implications of the transaction
Determine the economic impact of the provisions, including indemnities, working capital calculation, and covenants
Provides initial recommendations based on current M&A tax legislation to engagement leadership
Synthesizes and analyzes data to develop efficient alternative structuring considerations to the proposed transaction
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the key capabilities required to deliver a high quality service experience to the client
Selects appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data, and develop informed recommendations that shape or support the client’s business strategy
Articulates how technology enables the business and communicate this effectively to clients while ensuring appropriate technologies and methodologies are used on projects

We are looking for someone with

Bachelor degree or above holder in Accounting, Finance, Law or related disciplines, preferably with a recognized professional qualification
Solid experience on M&A related tax matters, exposure in big 4 is an advantage
More experience, including exposure in commercial area will also be considered
Professional qualification accredited by an institute of Taxation, Chartered Accountants, CPA and Law society
Excellent command of both written and spoken Chinese and English
Proficient in Chinese work processing
