Job Summary
The FP&A Manager acts as the key financial business partner to the Plant Manager and PDSS leadership team.
This role is accountable for transforming complex operational and financial data into clear insights, recommendations, and decision options, enabling management to make timely, fact-based, and value-driven decisions.
The position is expected to actively challenge assumptions, drive performance improvement, and influence outcomes in a joint venture manufacturing environment, while ensuring strong compliance with corporate policies, JV governance requirements, and local regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
1. Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast cycles for the plant.
2. Ensure alignment between financial plans, operational targets, and strategic priorities.
Performance Management & Analysis
1. Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews (Actual vs. Budget / Forecast).
2. Conduct in-depth analysis on revenue, gross margin, manufacturing costs, OPEX, and ROS (EBIT).
3. Analyze key business drivers including volume, price, mix, material cost, labor productivity, and efficiency variances.
4. Translate financial results into actionable insights rather than pure reporting.
Decision Support & Business Partnering
1. Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Plant Manager and senior leadership.
2. Provide decision-oriented analysis and recommended actions for key business decisions such as:
1) Pricing and product mix optimization
2) Make-or-buy and outsourcing decisions
3) Capacity planning and capital investments
4) Prepare scenario, sensitivity, and trade-off analyses to support management decision-making.
Joint Venture Compliance & Governance
1. Actively participate in joint venture governance and compliance management.
2. Ensure alignment among Eaton policies, JV agreements, and local statutory requirements.
CAPEX & Working Capital Management
1. Evaluate financial feasibility of CAPEX projects (ROI, IRR, Payback).
2. Track CAPEX execution and post-investment performance.
3. Drive actions with cross-functional teams to improve cash flow and capital efficiency.
Systems, Data & Process Improvement
1. Leverage SAP ERP and ETO-related systems to drive accurate forecasting, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
2. Partner with operations, costing, and IT teams to improve data quality, system usage, and end-to-end visibility from order intake to delivery and margin realization.
3. Drive reporting automation, system optimization, and BI tool adoption.
4. Continuously improve efficiency, transparency, and quality of FP&A processes.
Leadership & Execution
1. Lead and develop FP&A team members, setting clear expectations and performance standards.
2. Drive performance improvement initiatives with a hands-on, execution-focused, and assertive mindset.
3. Proactively push cross-functional teams to deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
4. Take ownership of ad-hoc financial analysis and management requests. "
