KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct consumer research to support worldwide innovation and renovation

Design and execute consumer quantitative and qualitative test, independently moderate focus group discussion/in-depth interview, supervise research field work, process data analysis, meanwhile draw and elaborate research report.

Work closely with research agencies starting from project brief to complete research activities with full delivery on time and quality.
Co-work with global RBP team on worldwide projects and bring China specifics into the study.- Maintain the internal consumer panel to generate actionable insights through quarterly studies, while continually optimizing the platform and ensuring data is well-organized for efficient access.

Build up internal database of consumer tests and set up norms as testing reference.

Explore and experiment with new methodologies (AI, emotion, cognitive evaluation, etc.) to enhance our consumer research capability and capacity.

Maintain and enlarge consumer research vendor pool.
2. Market watch and insight generation

Monitor local beauty market trends & product competition through different channels like GNPD, Beaute Research, etc. to generate insights, fulfill knowledge gaps and feed teams on quarterly basis.

Initiate & organize evaluation/ exploration on market new launches & consumer trends to keep Chanel updated on new emerging trends.
what you can bring to the team
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or above in psychology, sociology, anthropology, statistics, etc., at least 6 years’ consumer research related working experience, with at least 4 years’ experience in cosmetic or FMCG R&D. Experience in leading qualitative and quantitative study.

Strong project management skills, proven ability to manage the end-to-end research lifecycle for multiple concurrent projects, including timelines, budgets and resources.

With innovation mindset, experienced in consumer research and sensory synergy.

Applicable knowledge in statistic, skillful in using statistical software like SPSS, XL-stat, be proficient in data interpretation and insight exploring.

Good excel & PPT skill, good report writing skill, fluent in English and speaking French is a plus.

Learning agility to new method/analysis/applications.

A good team player with excellent organizational, navigating, interpersonal skills to drive things happen.
