The role
Do you enjoy architecting large-scale SAP environments that power mission-critical business operations?
Are you passionate about shaping cloud-native SAP landscapes, driving S/4HANA transformation, and enabling enterprise-grade reliability?
SoftwareOne is looking for a SAP Basis Solution Architect to lead the technical vision, design, and modernization of our SAP ecosystem. You will define our long-term architecture, oversee cloud migration strategies, and ensure our SAP platforms remain secure, scalable, and high performing, supporting the company’s digital transformation goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the technical architectural roadmap for the SAP landscape, including ECC, S/4HANA, BTP, and BW/4HANA
- Design and optimize SAP deployments on hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) with RISE or native cloud frameworks, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery
- Lead complex technical projects such as OS/DB migrations, S/4HANA conversions, and Unicode conversions, while managing sizing and scalability planning
- Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies like SAP BTP, AI-driven monitoring, and automation tools to drive innovation
- Ensure compliance with global security standards, conduct performance tuning, and promote automation through Infrastructure as Code practices
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, mentor junior engineers, and manage vendor relationships to meet SLAs
What we need to see from you
- Hands-on SAP Basis experience at an Architect-level role
- Expertise in SAP S/4HANA, HANA 2.0 administration, performance tuning, and tools like DMO, SUM, SWPM
- Experience migrating SAP systems to Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, integration patterns, APIs, and hybrid architectures
- Strategic mindset with clear communication skills; background in mentoring and leading cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT or related field; preferred certifications in SAP (HANA/OS-DB Migration, S/4HANA Conversion) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS Solutions Architect)
