About Fidelity Dalian
Established in 2007, FIL Technology (Dalian) Limited was the Fidelity’s first wholly owned enterprise in China. The Dalian office initially served as a systems development centre to bolster Fidelity’s growing business in the Asia Pacific region, with a primary focus on providing technology and web-based support and services. The office has continued to expand in recent years and now acts as the central service hub for the Asia Pacific region supporting multiple business functions including systems development and support, systems infrastructure support, retail operations, finance accounting services and investment administration & fund accounting.
Team Description
Global Solutions Office is an unique team of technologists that work closely with business partners to increase productivity of our front office through simplification, automation and risk mitigation. We leverage FIL-approved technologies to automate workflow, standardize process and reduce risk. Our team owns the design, implementation and support for all our solutions - our autonomy is a key differentiator. Solutions Office capabilities include: Digitization for intake, data integration, document generation and automating integration with back office systems. About your role
As an experienced Full-Stack Developer, you will be involved in the full software development and delivery lifecycle. This includes collaborating closely with stakeholders to design and implement complex business logic using the Spring Boot Java framework, business flow engines, and ReactJS. You will adhere to established processes, technical standards, and security guidelines, ensuring rapid delivery with exceptional quality.
About you
The position is for an experienced Full-Stack Developer, The candidate should be an expert in full stack software development technologies. The candidate should be able to deliver complex business logic using different technical solutions.
This is a hands-on role and you will be expected to provide technical oversight and guidance to the process and solution regarding how we engage/design/develop/test/deploy during the delivery lifecycle. You will also work closely with the Technical Manager to create and maintain a prioritized development roadmap.
Key Responsibilities

Understand business requirements through direct interaction.

Participate Backend Service design, API, DB tables design.

Research of new technologies to be used in project and provide suggestions to leadership team.

Development and maintenance of backend API.

Development of Web frontend projects

Development integration application with Fidelity backend system or external third-party systems.

Deploy and troubleshooting for application in AWS environment.

Ensure that work performed within the group is supportable and completed within the overall IT strategy of FIL, and meet quality standards.

Ensure adherence to project management processes and assist in the ongoing review and enhancement of these processes.

Works under minimal supervision to meet goals set by management.

Maintain quality documents and follow the process defined for development.

Manage own task progress and update timely to stakeholders
Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential Skills and Experience
-
Extensive experience (minimum 8 years in a commercial environment) in Java/Web/Microservice development.

Experience with frontend development technologies such as ReactJS, VUE
-
Experience in Tools that assist Development, Testing, Build and Source code versioning.

Essential documentation and service design skills.
-
Workflow design and implementation experience will be an added advantage.

Experience & good understanding of full development life cycle.

Well presented with good communication skills.

Able to prioritise own activities, work under pressure.

Experience with AWS cloud or other cloud systems is a plus.

Good business English skill is required, reading, writing, listening, speaking

Experience in VBA, Office Script, MS Power solution
