Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) – Suzhou, China

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Suzhou. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our suppliers consistently deliver high-quality components, materials, and services that meet global standards.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive quality improvements, strengthen supplier performance, and support a culture focused on excellence and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and qualify suppliers in accordance with company quality standards
- Ensure incoming materials meet specified requirements through effective supplier oversight
- Drive supplier quality performance from sourcing through manufacturing lifecycle
- Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues in a timely and structured manner
- Develop and execute supplier audit plans (GMP / ISO standards)
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations, providing clear feedback and improvement actions
- Support and maintain Certified Supplier programs to optimize inspection efficiency and cost
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement on quality and capacity challenges
- Analyze data, identify risks proactively, and implement preventive measures
- Document and present technical findings, reports, and recommendations clearly
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality
- Strong knowledge of:
- Supplier audits and qualification processes
- GMP, ISO 13485 or similar quality systems
- Root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, CAPA, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
- Experience working with external suppliers and cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work on complex projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Fluent in Mandarin and working proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device or regulated industry
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Auditor qualification
- Familiarity with ERP/quality systems
