- Serve as the primary technical contact for OEMs, Tier 1s, and cell makers in China.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and onsite trials.
- Deliver compelling presentations, training, and workshops to accelerate customer decision making.
- Advise customers on envelope selection, stack integration, and manufacturability.
- Support material trade‑off evaluations (e.g., nonwoven vs. film).
- Operate a localized prototype hub to accelerate design iterations.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify local suppliers (materials, equipment, tools).
- Coordinate PPAP, trial builds, and production readiness with supply chain partners.
- Manage application projects from concept through SOP, including scope, timeline, and risk.
- Monitor regulations, standards, and competitor developments in the China battery market.
- Feed China‑market insights into global roadmaps and product strategy.
- Bachelor’s in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- Professional fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
- Hands‑on familiarity with Li‑ion cell technology, materials, and supply chain components.
- Strong communication skills for customer‑facing work and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions and collaboration skills applied in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma principles, experience with APQP/PPAP and automotive product development processes.
- Knowledge of testing/quality requirements and inspection methods for battery components.
- Practical experience in Li‑ion cell development or manufacturing (prismatic/pouch).
- Understanding of China’s battery ecosystem and supplier landscape.
