Job Description
Job Title: Sr. Application Engineer – LCMSMS
Location: Beijing
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer with a strong background in LC-MS/MS systems to lead and coordinate solution development projects across multiple application domains. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with both high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and triple quadrupole MS, and a proven track record in developing analytical solutions in food safety, environmental, forensic or other related small molecular testing.
This role requires not only technical excellence but also good communication skills with sales, marketing, field application teams and customers. Can adapt to frequent business trips.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete demo experiments with high quality & efficiency and deliver excellent results to help sales win orders.
- Provide on-site support to customers, training and helping them develop and optimize methods.
- Independently develop and refine workflows and solutions based on Thermo Fisher LSMS product lines, including Orbitrap HRMS and TSQ series LCQQQ.
- Collaborate with internal teams (BU, R&D, Sales, and Technical Support) to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business priorities.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Food Safety, Environmental, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field; Master’s degree with extensive experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of practical experience operating and developing methods with LC-MSMS— including high-resolution MS and LCQQQ instruments. Experience with Thermo Fisher LCMSMS is a plus.
- Proven experience in solution development and workflow integration for applications Food Safety, Environmental and so on.
- Well English communication skills, able to collaborate in an international environment.
- Hands-on experience with Thermo Fisher software platforms such as Xcalibur, TraceFinder, Compound Discoverer is a plus also.
