Main Purposes of the Job
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement, supporting operational excellence, and leading quality initiatives across the business.
You will act as a subject matter expert, working cross-functionally to improve performance, reduce risk, and enhance customer satisfaction.

The role will involve travel to various Engineering Companies and production factories both in China and further afield in Asia for product mid-term quality assurance and final product quality control / inspections on products sourced for Group Operating Companies.
Key Performance Areas
Products
-
Develop and improve the Global Direct Sourcing quality control/ management process
-
Gain a complete understanding of the products sourced, their application / end use and the manufacturing processes involved

Implement & supervise mid-production QA and pre-shipment QC inspections (dimension, visual, coating tests, NDT tests, mechanical performance tests etc)

Provide inspection reports timely ahead of order delivery

Review all products specification and support category manager finalize product specifications

Interpret test results to identify issues with product quality

Monitor and expedite the manufacturing process to ensure alignment with scheduled delivery times,
-
Manage quality complaint investigations and continuously decrease the customer complaint ratio

Supervise and carrying out container loading inspections according to CRH procedures in order to ensure that safe loading and un-loading occurs

Create and manage all QC related reports, KPIs and support documentation

Liaison and coordination with 3rd party Testing and Inspection Service Providers

Fulfill other tasks assigned by Team Leader.
Suppliers

Support suppliers reviewing/improving production process to improve product quality and realize cost reduction

Analyse quality defects and assist the supplier to improve product quality

Leading quality complaint’s investigation and support suppliers solve problem and improve product quality.

Resolve the day to day issues which relate to product quality.

To have the initiative to identify issues and obstacles, collect information, find opportunities then develop and implement effective solutions.

Take responsibility of improve sourced product quality, review production process to support cost reduction.

Communicating with category manager and suppliers related to product quality.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role, with experience at a senior level
Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 – as applicable)
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt desirable)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with audit processes (internal and external)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, CQI, IRCA Auditor) desirable
