Main Tasks
- New Business Development: Identifying, develop, and realizing business opportunities based on customer/market needs including proactive project management from idea to final implementation at customer’s mass production.
- Translation of technical customer needs & problems into BASF toolbox to solve customer needs; Provide technical support to customers and technical consultation including handling and follow-up complaints on technical related issues.
- Generate selling story and assist commercial sales on achieving business results.
- Optimize profitability of regional product portfolio to meet market demand incl. supply chain and local production topics.
- Working together with global team to achieve business goals.
- Establish close customer relationship for successful business development including product performance test on customers’ product lines and failure analysis of product performance issues at customer.
- Provide competitive product performance information to verify competitiveness of own products and technologies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics or material science, Master or PhD is a plus
- Experience: Oversea experience or working experience in MNC is a plus
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: Know how about chemistry, experience in display materials is a plus; Structured approach to problem solving under time pressure; Excellent communication skill to communicate in an international active company; Ability to interact in an interdisciplinary field of production engineers, QC and supply chain
- Languages: Fluent in both written and oral English, Expert level in Chinese
