Strategy
- Synthesize global part family component strategies and drive device selection; drive project adherence to defined strategies.
- Influence supplier device definitions to align with future product requirements & unique selling points.
- Collaborate with materials management for advanced sourcing activities, ensuring cost competitiveness & supply chain stability.
- Deliver market intelligence & guidance gathered from suppliers to internal stakeholders.
Design & System Expertise
- Define requirements & deliver electronic components fulfilling future product requirements.
- Enhance & contribute to component performance by integrating IP.
- Conduct simulation reviews with suppliers & provide direction on features/functions.
- Offer expertise on integrated circuity technologies & their impact on design performance, semiconductor fabrication, & packaging/assembly processes.
Performance Evaluation
- Ensure complete data sheet and application specific test verification via an internally developed highly automated test environment to characterize, evaluate, & benchmark component performance.
- Assess supplier validation plans & analyze results for component acceptance.
- Confirm conformance of component-level functional safety (ISO 26262).
- Drive development execution with suppliers including risk mitigation & ensure suppliers address any nonconformance.
Process & Methods
- Ensure semiconductor development and supplier management are in accordance with customer requirements and internal best practices.
- Drive a structured approach for all component developments.
- Monitor and report development status.
- Lead the technical interface with suppliers including global coordination of activities.
